The Experience:

From the moment you first board, Captain Pete Silot's custom built Egret flats boat, you realize that you're about to experience a special day of fishing in South Florida. Sitting back against the backrest, Capt. Pete idles past the other boats in the marina. You'll see Tarpon rolling and numerous birds including Great Heron, Egrets, Osprey, Pelicans and Rosette Spoonbills nestin gin the mangroves.

Capt. Pete gently pushes the throttle and the skiff comes up on plane. The early morning sun lights up those nearby flats that you will soon be fishing. Upon arriving on the flat, Pete hands you one of his many custom made fishing rods. He assumes his position atop the polling platform and silently poles the shallow draft skiff in search of a tailing Redfish or a cruising Snook. You begin to feel the excitement of sight casting. Being able to actually see your fish eat the lure as you set the hook. Fighting your trophy on light tackle is just part of the adventure.

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned angler this will be a great day fishing the flats of Flamingo. You'll be fishing for Snook, Redfish and Tarpon among the natural beauty of mangroves and buttonwood trees decorated with native air plants and orchids. The Everglades National Park will be an experience you'll treasure forever.
